I used to know an angel, Her wings were clipped, So she wouldn't fly away. She walked with weights on her shoulders, You see, angels were never meant to live with humans The gravity is different here, Their halos droop, And dig into their scalps There are lots of angels on earth, But not many are whole. Their taken advantage of, Their wings cut from their backs, Their halos ripped off The spark taken from Their golden eyes Most angels, Go back to heaven, Too soon. I used to know an angel, She always told me She wanted to go home, So one day she did.

The Weight Of Wings
