And I held his hands in mine. To show him I was there. And I held him close. Because I felt that if I let go he would fall apart. And I kissed his cheek. To try to fix what was so much damaged. And I tried so hard to make him feel Wanted to crawl inside his chest and stitch together the wounded heart that rest inside. He was so fragile. And words couldn't fix him, nor did I have the right ones to say. But I knew he was safe, So words didn't matter.

*Safe.*
