Can't Help it

Familiar is this place of fear.

Loneliness is all that's here.

No feeling of remorse for words.

Feelings of happiness absurd.

No exit visible to me at all.

Watch my step, before I fall.

Backed up, against a wall.

On my knees, forced to crawl.

I try to stand, unable to breathe.

I realize then, I'll never leave.

Scared to death, I'll die alone.

I venture into, the unknown.

I find nothing, but a broken soul.

I'm done trying, I've no control.

Nowhere left, to turn or go.

My heart is gone, with nothing to show.

I guess I'll die here, a lost cause.

Bleeding straight through, all my gauze.

A broken soldier, of love and pain.

This depressions driven, me insane.

I've given up, lost here in space.

Nothing but, a basket case.

Emotions not in my control.

I guess it's over, I must let go.
