One of my first grown-up jobs was working as a cook midnight till five in the morning with the owner of Winchell donuts. I learned to make icings  and dough. Roll him out, cut him up and he would fry them. There was something that was not even on the menu. It was called the donut cake you stacked a bunch of donuts, and you filled in all the middles with Billing, and made quite a few of those. This one rude customer said there wasn&#8217;t enough jelly in the donut and insisted that I put two additional squirts in a doughnut. even after I insisted, it&#8217;s way too much and it&#8217;s going to explode over everywhere after he called me a few choice names I succumb to his request. The donut was heavy and bulging with the raspberry jelly. I offered him napkins and he threw them back at me, he took a big bite, and as I predicted, it splattered all over his white shirt and silk tie. The other customers in line exploded and laughter as he starts yelling at me. They all stepped in and said hey, she tried to tell you&#8230;.. your poem brought back that memory. Thank you.
