I dreamt of a world, where freckles danced across a beautiful landscape. But I never could figure out where to find this place I realize now, the view of my dreams that brought me peace, Was the sea of freckles across your face. Accompanied by a smile, and a sincere gaze My provider of peace, for the rest of days My provider of peace, Not just in your eyes, But in how your soul, Helps my spirit rise. You’re the ‘soul who cares’ through thick and thin, I love the landscape, But adore what's within It’s a lot more than patterns on the skin, It’s the warmth of the soul glowing within, Beauty not captured by mere sight alone, Rather found in the kindness and the heart you have shown. At night I lie down, gotta try to get some sleep, It's never quite that easy, Mind has other things too see, than counting sheep. But I see something break through the chaos, It brings relaxation, a feeling of peace. As I stand on the bridge of your nose, Admiring the hills and valleys below; I see now they are just your beautiful features, The freckles that dance so elegantly below your eyes, They help my heart to finally arise. Every mark is a story, A piece of your grace, More than just elegant dots on a face. They map out a spirit so resilient and true, I fell for the features, But stayed for the you.
