I feel drunk when I’m not with you, Not the fun kind, the lost kind, in the blue. The kind where the world spins but nothing feels right, Where mornings feel heavy and days feel like night. It’s killing me slowly, somewhere deep inside, A quiet kind of pain I try to hide. And you probably know it, you see it in me, Even when I smile like everything’s free. But when I’m with you, everything changes, The pain disappears, the world rearranges. I don’t feel heavy, I don’t feel pain, It’s like life flows easy inside my veins. It’s like a drug, but not the kind that destroys, More like peace, more like joy. More like a heart that finally found The only place it wants around. So if I seem lost when you’re not in view, It’s probably because I only feel like myself When I’m with you.

Drunk and high
