There is a choke in my throat An exhale waiting to be had A river of tears running through A mountain of sad A silent scream on the tip of my tongue Stays silent because it's all been said and done What there was, is gone I know that now What I can't swallow Is the why or the how It stays there, like a choke in my throat As I go through my day Feeling tears that never run And thinking things I'll never say
