I’ve stumbled through shadows, made choices I regret, But I’m learning to rise, not just drown in the debt. You’ve drawn your lines, firm, sharp, and deep — Yet I carry the weight while you barely weep. You chose the path, the pets, the place, And I followed along, hiding my face. I longed for a child, for laughter and light, But silence was louder than what felt right. Yes, I’ve been wrong, but I want to be true, Not the villain in every story of you. Let’s break the blame and rebuild the trust — Or let us walk, if walk we must. But if you still care, then meet me halfway — Let’s seek the dawn, not dwell in yesterday.

Between Us
