You'd try to tell yourself "You're amazing" in the mirror. You say "You're marvelous & kind". But when it doesn't work and you couldn't find, clench & break that glass of deceit. You're more when you're broken. 

I share the same feeling. But even in failing there is grace, so struggle gracefully. As long as you're alive, you've got to stand because life won't really be over.

Forgiving myself is sometimes the hardest thing. Nevertheless, it is something I need to do. Otherwise I stay stuck in the darkness. Forgiveness all around is one key to becoming free. It is worth the effort. Depression and failure can engulf me. But I am not useless and failing is the way I learn. If I don't try, if I don't move forward then I stay in the dark. Getting up and trying, getting up and walking, breathing helps. Depression can actually be a beginning. It can be what tells me to change. I must not let it control me however.
