I went for a run today
and sat in the place where we used to stay
and watch the sun go down
for hours until the water
was too dark to see
And I picked up a stone
and skipped it for you
because you taught me how
And I could see the outline of our bodies
still sitting on that log
where I thought we could stay forever
But they were just ghosts
and I watched
as they slowly faded away
along with our voices
and the promises you made
