A single spark Brought about in the dark Sprung to life Bringing me light The heat upon my skin And the flames burning bright All through the night While the stars in the sky keep turning My home, so safe Brought to soot and ash Smoldering in rubble By a great serpent from the north Death from above Wings of fright All around me fire Smoke in the wind As I flee for my life I turn towards the wreckage And all that remains, A flame in the night…

A Flame in the Night
A single spark Brought about in the dark Sprung to life Bringing me light The heat upon my skin And the flames burning bright All through the night While the stars in the sky keep turning My home, so safe Brought to soot and ash Smoldering in rubble By a great serpent from the north Death from above Wings of fright All around me fire Smoke in the wind As I flee for my life I turn towards the wreckage And all that remains, A flame in the night…
Another try at a bit of fantasy. Also a huge fan of Tolkien, inspiration from his writings for this.
