a mediocre girl with a pretty life A mother and a father, a home and a brother She found comfort in the sleet and power in the river But a feeling never fed, is the one she found in bed. And the strength she thought it brought her, The river only left behind. Yet she wants to feel the power, but oh! so young- In time. A mediocre girl throws away a shiny life And the river never cared if she drowned. But to feel the power was the life. So she lies awake at night And sings to herself this song For tomorrow never comes, and life was always wrong. Adrift she dreams at night, to learn to love is to learn to fight A lesson learned in time But a life of a burning bed. In time, in time.
