He was young and naive And she was that way, too They met one sunny day And fell happy, deep in love so true He wrote words for her And they just smiled The kind you'd likely see Just from a birthday child He thought she liked it Or, maybe she did But one day, she never showed it All her love, she hid She left him one rainy day And drop by drop, he slowly cried The million tears she gave to him He could not, never hide For she had another love now And sadly, he had none For nothing compared to this girl His love, his only one He was broken apart And he could no longer write He mended and he waited And it all seemed alright For he knew he was unwhole, Unhappy, a broken half And felt she was that way too Through her talk, her smile and her laugh He promised they'll meet again someday And fall again, deep in love so true Broken halves put together And whole as one, no longer two
