Death of an Angel

An Angel, silent

Her fingers, cold and stiff

The beauty still clinging to her face

Wings, draped low

Her face slows to expressionless

Floating away atop a sheet of mist

This is the journey we all missed

For on top of the Pearly Gates

Lies another Heaven, her resting place

The death of an Angel

as she sifts into the blue

Carried upon clouds of white

Ascent, into the highest light
