I’d shake your hand hello but Hug you tightly goodbye, I’d go to war for you but I wouldn’t let you see me cry, I’d call you a fool, mockery, but never acknowledge that the twinkle in your eye on a pint laden afternoon in a hazy July Felt like winning the lottery I’d introduce you as my brother, my kin, But I wouldn’t share my sorrow, I’d rather wax lyrical about the sin bin, I’d never tell you I miss you, or brandish my scars - but I’ll always think of you when I look up at the stars I remember years ago, you told me that even if worlds apart We can both pivot to the same sky, both to the same dark
