The day started with anticipation People came from across the nation Dreams and hope to win the race Fame from getting that first place A deafening blast filled the air Screams where heard everywhere Dropped bags, scrambling people Confusion came with constant babble Catastrophe completely unseen Bodies carried from the scene Tears rolled from every eye Prayers lifted to the sky Unsure and scared we may be But trust in God the Almighty For though we cannot see the light In His arms, they are all right Continue to hope and to pray God is here with us today For He has never left our side And in His comfort, we must abide.
