A place where I go
when I want peace
to be there simply
to pause between breaths
And find the meaning
Of my yearning to be there.
It’s a feeling
strangely safer than reality
Joy that your presence
In my thoughts, bring
a secret I don’t overuse
like a light on a dusky day.
Calmness in the smile
Authority without words
mystery behind half smirks
distance beyond my reach
yet nothing complicates
nothing collapses, but remains
just as gentle as you are.
In the soft corner of my day
I visit in silence
To ask for nothing
But only to make sure
You are safe.
