The sense that love was sent to hide away to a place, far away, somewhere to obscure burdens wake, that feeling i cannot shake, everything inside me simply begins to break, even the happy parts don't seem to want to stay, so here at night lying awake heart and soul pierced by a saddened stake, waves of depression crashing on the shore, sands of happiness i once wore, pulling them into the deep, the sand, the waves so beratingly tore, unable to move, imprisoned by my driftwood stake constraining love’s untimely fate. so deeply my sands, surely the waves wouldn't take. but here i am watching it all ride away, helplessly, on burdens wake my love, i wish it didn't take

Tide of Quiet Loss
