you’re in the passenger seat as we make the five hour drive up to the corporate retreat burn through every throw- back banger **** on our coworkers **** the boss at the lodge time to kiss some *** come on itinerary says meet after breakfast for a team building exercise in conference room D get a lecture on faith in your fellow man pick partners you’re with me meant to be I can prove it we can do a trust fall baby fall back in these arms and see who’s gonna catch you? it’s me the only one that you can trust two lines of two on both sides of the room slip their blind- folds onto their partners as directed by human resources arms out to support you it’s time to fall sweaty palms poised to execute the perfect trust fall baby fall back in these arms and see who’s gonna catch you? it’s me the only one that you can trust But can I trust you’ll catch me Now I’m falling You’re the best thing I’ve bet on In so long No directional awareness No control No doubt You’ve got me Like I’ve got you Now that’s a ******* trust fall baby Fall back in each other’s arms Who’s gonna catch us? Seems we Both have someone we can trust

song written 2025 referenced in my unfinished comic "Between Going and Failing" written 2017: “Up next, check out the latest fresh-faced, sweater-over-a-collared-shirt wearing, autotune-heavy synth-pop boy band out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Their jeans are even tighter than their music.” “Uh Greg, I think you got that backwards.” “You think so, Paul? Here’s the latest, ‘Trust Fall’ from The All-Boy Babysitter’s Club - Jesus Christ...”
