If I never said
"leave me, go away"
your young locks of brown
would have time to turn grey
If I never made
an awful blunder
your cold freezing soul
wouldn't be six under.
If that truck had swerved
two more degrees west
you wouldn't need be
forever in rest.

This is a true poem about my biological dad, who died recently in a truck car crash. He was schizophrenic and he was extremely depressed, so much that he tried to **** himself every few days. even though they divorced when i was 4, he still has been having a great impact on my life. he was the best dad he could be until he started drinking and being abusive over the money the government gave him for his mental health issues.
They divorced because my mother came home one day to a ****** child (me) and a drunk father holding a knife. I still have these scars, mentally and physically. The man was horrible, but even though I hated him and shunned him from my life, I didn't know I loved him until he passed away.
