I see the Brightest Star And know it is my dad. And even though he seems so far, It doesn't hurt so bad. He twinkles and he shines Beautifully in the light. To let me know he is mine, He shines ever so bright. Millions of others He stands out from the rest. Because he is my father, I think he is the best. I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. I'm sorry I couldn't see you. I wish I was right at your side so a piece of me could've gone with you. I see the Brightest Star And know it is my dad. And even though he seems so far, It doesn't hurt so bad.

Brightest Star
