I loved waking up to the rain When the clouds barrel down and cwtch close to the trees and mist rolls over And over the valley veins pumping life Overflowing blood rushing and bursting through roots It’s the kind of weather that pulls you in closer Holds you in darkened comfort And stirs you to the deep cells of your body

Mornings of mist
I loved waking up to the rain When the clouds barrel down and cwtch close to the trees and mist rolls over And over the valley veins pumping life Overflowing blood rushing and bursting through roots It’s the kind of weather that pulls you in closer Holds you in darkened comfort And stirs you to the deep cells of your body
Ive found such a comfort lately in writing in the mornings. Before my head awakens my heart is already bursting so this week Im drawing all the words I can from the start of the day. This morning the weather was gloriously dark and close and comforting. Living in the valleys I get to share my breath with that of the misty mountains and with every exhale I am free
