Wow, this one really filled me with this strange sense of hope, but not about hope of anything in particular. It's a childlike sense of, I dunno, this is weird, lol, it feels not exactly like being a kid again, y'know when you get those little burst of pure bliss nostalgia, but really feeling one aspect of being a child, a blind sort of trust that everything will be OK, even through bad circumstances, children can bounce back and thrive, and I think the secret is because of that trust that everything will be OK, like the blind trust you have in your parents' driving, a certain perfect trust that you'll never feel with anyone else completely.

I'm gushing a bit but this great feeling is lingering, a feeling that I'm as much a part of nature as a flower, and animals, plants, all sorts of creatures, they don't have fears over things they have no control of, so why do we? And love the sentiment that reminded me of two personal things that were purely coincidental, which was cool, it just deepened the engagement in this; a former girlfriend knew I hated having to be woken up by an alarm clock, and I never her ever asked her to, but she kept her phone under her pillow on vibrate with the alarm set to when I had to be up for work, and would gently wake me up every morning playing with my hair and when I'd open my eyes after half a minute her smile was the first thing I'd see, and every morning she'd say the same thing, "Good morning, sunshine!", and kiss me, my morning breath and all, lol. That thing she did improved my life like is hard to describe fully, it was down-right cathartic. I guess I still have a big soft spot for her, and I haven't thought about that in I don't know how long, I was with her 20 years ago almost. 

So thank you for that incidental thing, too, I've written wayyy too much here, I know, but this poem just put me in the most amazing mood, like the sunshine on a very sunny day in the middle of winter, 40 below out, but at high noon the sun is bright enough for the picture window in my living room to magnify the heat, and I hardly notice until I walk into that beam and feel its warmth, and when I do, I just, enjoy I guess, I enjoy the warmth of those rays when the wind could be hollowing at 80-100kpm on the bad days, so even in all but the most insulated homes possible there are unpleasant cold spots caused by small drafts here and there, one of the things I hate about really cold spells the most, having almost to carry a blanket around the house with you, so how luxuriant that source of purely nature warmth and heat, not from natural gas or electricity, there is something very special about that light and heat, it's a primal thing almost, maybe why we get such a rush of people in great moods when the snow all melts for fingers-crossed the last time, the psyches of people that live in climates like these, no wonder so many writers in similar climates wrote such craftily depressing novels, haha. 

I've been prattling on, sorry about that, I just have been trying to express but feel like I'm still missing more I could write, but I won't! Thank you for this, you have filled me with today's dream.
