To dream aboard a clipper ship on seas; To dream of our lost lives upon green bay; Of a New York skyline beyond cool breeze; Of ascending towers of steel display. Beyond these doors, we rise with express speed, In florescent light to its lofty crown. Our love is carved within art deco frieze; Of our hearts rejoiced over city’s clouds. On trains, viewed as undesirables, sway; On platforms, gathered in our silence, wait; To brittle lines, led beneath clouds of grey; To a fate, bleaker than these entrance gates. ‘Oh sisters, brothers, all of mercy’s prayers; May our hands hold us now, for marked are we; To shamble alone into chambers where Our mortal love dies and our spirits flee.’ Their bodies now gone, so no one can see. Their trembling souls shone of infinite light. A truth has spoken with certain decree For those who were lost in man's darkest night. Their sorrow's alive and remains with you; Their pain is eternal, bound and not free. Til’ banished the views of misguided truths; There'll never be silence, never be peace.
