On some bitter day sometime in winter I dreamed of a future time Where a warm breeze brushes my skin Birds chirping in bright, budding trees The vibrant greens and blues Are clearer than a window And bright as the sun The smell of springtime is in the air Flowers, fresh air and green grass Standing under a cloudless sky I take this all in, and feel refreshed. Cleansed But a commotion in the room Brought me back to reality And under those fluorescent lights Breathing in the stale, stuffy air I know springtime can not come soon enough.

Spring Break
