I am the light, From yonder window breaks, The sun streaks with warmth, I gleefully meet to warm its face. To cross the floor and glide so sweetly, A dream of coffee, Milk and Sugar, Warming silence and a calming dawn panting, Waits just on the other side of the kitchen. A flash and pang of pain, Soul wincing away with hatred, disdain I've stubbed my toe, lo, should I complain? Those around me would wake and suffer My fate just the same
