Most humans drink coffee and wine 
They consume television and mainstream novels 
They feed their souls with popularity contests and safe relationships 

*But poets* 
We could not survive without passion, intensity, and meaning
Everything we feel is felt to the depths of our souls 
We are the ones to put into words the unspeakable pain of heartbreak 
The incomprehensible joy of falling in love
We are the ones brave enough to say out loud the diaries of a thousand souls

This was Okay till the last two lines: 
"Us poets
We drink tea and whiskey"
- While I may have a cup of herbal tea (for its health benefits) from time to time I never drink whiskey and I really don't think that many poets do unless you are referring to it as a metaphor.

This is just awful... its just a "poet", if that's what you wanna be called, gloating about the complexity of her mind...Poet is a title, it is granted to you if you put in the work, its not for the writer to use when talking about yourself.

Yes, poets are the hypersensitive ones who see things more deeply  than others and try to capture the feelings on paper!  i knew there was a reason I liked tea more than coffee!
