Blessed with concrete feet and rubber limbs I could slip on an echo and slide on a whisper My body is the battlefield of the graceless Broken nails and tender cuts Sprained and strained, bumped and bashed Always daubed in a rainbow of bruises From week old green to yesterday's violet I thought I had stumbled every tumble Until you You opened up before me like the infinite void A secret door swinging open to possibilities I toppled down that rabbit hole Like a slinky cascading down the stairs Air in my face, wind roaring in my ears I tripped And let myself fall entirely, completely, willingly Into you
