The moon rose huge in the sky.
It’s craters visible against it’s milky complexion.
Stars danced as if it were a campfire,
burning and crackling in front of them.
It’s amazing how the moon has been confronted,
beaten, and analyzed.
It’s face shaped as if it were sleeping,
frozen in time. Stars appear as the night draws on.
Being born or dying.
Clouds move across the starry sky, wrapping the moon
in a blanket. It seems that the moon is sleepwalking in it’s sleep.
Stumbling, rolling, falling.
Stars catch him as he does and as he reaches the horizon,
the sun comes back, glowing brightly.
As it never seems to sleep, but the moon just
stumbles and falls,
Stumble and falls...
