i have spent so much time

believing
the things i want so badly
could only come from external sources
never myself
i believed
i did not deserve the things
i wanted most
for they could only be given to me
from a loved one,
from a friend,
from a lover
when truly,
everything i wish for so dearly
is inside me already
i deserve to give myself happiness
