You're not good for me. You stir a silence I can't quiet. I falter in your presence— Then somehow, you're all that ever matters No war has made me forget. No pain has matched your name. I am a soldier— Wearing armor stitched with blood and blame. It’s not wise for us to meet again. Chaos sleeps between our breaths. Unseen by the naked eye, Yet it roars each time our gazes cross like threats So this time, I’ll look away. Or maybe— Stay a heartbeat longer, Just to see if you would stay. And if you're the first to turn… Then once again, I’ll carry the ruin Alone. Astray.
