A shooting star appearing suddenly, Lighting sky's of deepest black, It's brilliance flickers it's beauty's dance, Entrancing splendid hue. Reality comes creeping back, When it's faded out of view. Weakened knees give away, Falling into you, Heart warn upon a sleeve, Unable to remove. I wish for that shooting star , To become a shining moon, And for the night to be lit by day , And the sun come into view. But darkness seems the only freind , Turning once warm blood to ice. Hiding inside steep earthen walls, So one can feel no pain. History has shown me, That dreams won't last the day. I cannot just let you in, For one day you'll just walk away .
