The happiness is scarce
But the tears are plentiful
Stories unwritten
But bound to be pitiful
The happiness is scarce
Joy's rare but pain's common
You see it on the streets
With the crimes and the bombings
The happiness is scarce
A source un-renewable
So we store it for later
And ignore all the beautiful
The happiness is scarce
But we refuse to use it
Maybe that's why
We continue to lose it
The happiness is scarce
But the tears are plentiful
The only way to stop it
Is to make it all wonderful

I think that maybe if we used up all of the happiness the only consequence would be a small struggle to make more. And maybe that struggle will build something beautiful. Now first we've got to find away to get the happiness
