Behemoths against a sky draped in flame Silent mountain peaks caressing clouds of ash Embers dance in the wind; smoldering messengers Only the creak of seared bark shall grace this twilight The forest is burning, such a sight to behold This forest now king, of fire and gold After all damage is done Skeletal trees remain, like decrepit hands Reaching to curse the sun Soot is now the only floor Barren and silent, like sentinels of mother nature They stand; shamed and leafless Still they whisper wise words with dying breaths This is a legend to be told The forest once king, of fire and gold
