The words that were kept, "Us, always" ... There's nothing else left to recall. For months full of space, a veil on the face concealed t'was another on call. Two wheels and a half for "safety" ... Years spent evading the fault. Absorbing the shame, enabling blame, with never a spine or qualm. And when rupture came, t'was blinding ... A maze of excuses and walls. Unbeknownst to me, you dug at my feet while judgement was made with cabal. A cushion for crying or pining ... As the tears in my bed know of all. Each night that is wept, I'm left but to guess: was it e'er really "us" at all?

Just "Us"?
