Similar but oh so contrasting
To be silent owns the decision
Right or wrong?
Intentionally designed?
Depends upon how one uses it
Respectfully or defensive?
Passive-agressive?
Where it can cause the most
Desired retaliatory result
It is here I find silence
A deeply cold and calculating thing
Cunning as those that do this
Capable of years of therapeutic
Casualties that can seep in
Strangle all confidence out
Seeding bouts of worry
That spout questions unanswered
Silence can echo within
So loud they too must shout
Silience is kin to a physical blow
It is abusive when abused
Used to hurt someone close.
Keeping hands clean
Innocent when questioned
A metaphoric domino sent over
Building to splended downfalls
And their world cashes down
