Beneath the sky, the beach glows peach Days I wished I could spend in bed Where dreams feel out of reach Casting hues of blue and cherry red The shore kissed by the waves Tides that embraced my day Holding memories, I slowly begin to crave Waves like whispers that danced away A life that moves with endless space Carrying shadows of time Keeping my finger on it, I can't seem to trace Gives me a feeling of a serene crime The sand I hold slowly drifts away Like echoes from a distant time Those people who fade to grey The sunset plays a silent mime Watching the Sunset It promises to rise back up again There goes another night yearning silhouette Falling back in bed, I hope to retain.

The Wave Washed Canvas
