When people ask, “What is your talent?” I state— I have none. There is not yet a race I have won. Maybe my talent is searching for the good in people others cannot see. Maybe it is the overwhelming empathy I have only just come to understand not everyone has. Maybe it is the way no logical answers ever seem solid enough to make me believe them. Contained within a world so full of certainty— certainty that clearly I have failed to see. So when they ask me, “What is your talent?” I say, I have none.
