Rainy Day

The sky hung low and gray.

The wind blew cold.

As I felt the clouds cry,

For a story untold.

Your hand was a warmth,

I could no longer hold.

As the shadows of gray,

Started to unfold.

Yet the rain washes clean.

Every scar in the dust,

I'd cherish the love,

Even after the rust.
