I remember, back when summers were in their prime. I remember, back when happiness cost less than a dime. I remember, when vacations were still fun. I remember, when nothing hit like playing in the sun. I remember, back when I was still nine. I remember, back when we didn't care about time. I remember, when the ice-cream vendor strolled the streets. I remember, when he brought cool cures for the scorching heat. I remember, back when we used to admire our scraped knees. I remember, back when we used to return home in soiled tees. I remember, when our best friends came in plastic and tin. I remember, when we laughed away sorrows alongside our kin.

The Taste of Childhood
The poem speaks of the good times, when rush was more of an alien concept to us. The times when we used to spend our summer days strolling in the streets alongside our friends, making merry and laughing out loudly.
