At night I gaze upon you, Staring at your phone, I look around at where we live, Though I do not call it home. You sit so near, yet far away, Why must I feel alone? When I speak to hear your voice, I barely get a glance, Your eyebrows furrow, quite annoyed, Behold your usual stance, I try in vain to make you smile, Yet your phone holds you entranced. Before we wed and became as one, We spoke of even shares. It seems to me when bills are due, Tis' my burden to bear. You say I need to ask for help, When I do you do not care. You’ve told me this world is solely yours, That I am just a guest, As you say this my heart weeps, For my love just digressed, Your tongue cut lashes deep within, Rip beating heart from chest.

Digression of the Heart
