I am always sick Sleep deprived From nightly drives Midnight shifts That I love I am always sick A little gassy but afraid That it won’t be gas That comes out that way I am always sick Tired of all the certainty Righteous indignity Self-proclaimed victimization Of this white conservative nation I am always sick Of what my world can justify How my people can swallow lies No matter how hard I try To inspire them to be better I am always sick With no end in sight No angelic tunnel No godly light No hope for something more Than this one life One day I won’t be sick But that will be the day I die

I'm Always Sick
I am always sick Sleep deprived From nightly drives Midnight shifts That I love I am always sick A little gassy but afraid That it won’t be gas That comes out that way I am always sick Tired of all the certainty Righteous indignity Self-proclaimed victimization Of this white conservative nation I am always sick Of what my world can justify How my people can swallow lies No matter how hard I try To inspire them to be better I am always sick With no end in sight No angelic tunnel No godly light No hope for something more Than this one life One day I won’t be sick But that will be the day I die
