a student's life ain't one for me

Watch the work pile up

Let the books tower above you

One essay after another

Each thought forsakes thought

Lifeless emotions a blunder

Wired to a desk

Four by five to be exact

Lucky linger a top your head

Utter feelings of being dead

When can we kick back?

One more month til spring

No use crying over spilt milk

Dig that whole real deep

With enough room for your mind to breathe

Pencils don't write well in dirt.
