Who did I send to the other side My son did I? O!I smell the rapid ***** of blood Leaching into the soil on the grounds where my fathers died And yet this day... I send my only begotten My heir unto the very end That suffering may end And lawbreakers and wrongdoers may spite A gift I give unto all humanity Did you send your sons to fight in a war? One of servitude and slavery and shame His warm embrace and chivalry The women adored a man Who could tell a story And two ***** who sang on sinking boat To find a treasure Not that they laid a claim to a land Yet they find not And such a beauty he loved Tears of departing lover He said my love Say a prayer to old gods and the new One of victory against a city of menace Until then shall we shed not tears of despair A messenger I am of a futile adventure
