To make our way through life, we must face difficult obstacles.
Pain is only temporary, even when it feels endless.
It is so hard to do things we never wanted to do,
to walk paths we never chose.
Life is not always fair to us,
but that does not mean it has nothing beautiful to offer.
Even in the struggle, gifts find their way to us.
And for so many of them, I am deeply grateful.
