Growing up and apart

I morn for a lover lost

A boy once

Who turned into a man

Now I look

Upon his face

And I realize that

Who he was

Is no longer who he is

I morn for a brother lost

I see him on rare occasions

I miss him…

All grown up

The pain of watching

One grow up

From a lover

Into a stranger

From a brother

Into a man

I no longer recognize

Where do we go from here?

Where do we go?

The trees and the forest

The magic all disappeared

The fairies and stories

Of knights and bravery

Forgotten and lost

Forgive me now

Because I am lost

Fallen brother

Lost lover

Why did you go?

The battlefield

Painted red.

No longer will our days

Be shared with smiles and joys

Lets run.

Let us run

From this misery

From society

Let us find our own way

Home

I no longer recognize this place

Or us.

Let us find each other again

Once more lets call out the fairies

And the magic

For one night

Let us live forever

And forget the pain

And the tears shed

For the never ending day.

We can run forever

And we can truly be free

Lets live together once more

Like we used to

Let us run and be merry

Discover the truth

They’ve been hiding

We can do this

Grab my hand and we can run forever
