Oh, birth Oh, breath Oh, life The mother of his mother She gave the world a beauty A heart too filled with passion To hold as dreams unmoving Oh, song Oh, voice Oh, rhythm The beat, once steady, shifted And became for them a melody Far sweeter than the slumber They drank so thoughtlessly
