Words by Elizabeth Hensley To the Tune of "Morning Has Broken" Twilight descending Gold Evening sunlight Cool Breeze luffs softly God's loving caress Quiet our soft prayers Rise to His warm heart. Hushed is the loud day Starting to rest. Bright is the sunset Burning like fire! Made by the One that Fills all desire! Pink for His Kindness! Red for His Bleeding! Gold for His Reigning! Praise for His POWER! Twinkling the night sky Silver and velvet Like a soft blanket for the tired Earth Rest in His Presence Safe in His Loving Knowing a new day Soon will come forth.

Evening Hymn a reverent filk song.

This is a filk song, some say they are called that because the tune was filched from another song, Others say it came from a typo from the word, 'folk.' You can see this in color with pictures at http://tinyurl.com/poemsoffaithandevolution
