he sits, his hands in his lap the lust bleeding from his eyes all I can do Is watch him daze his heartbreak visible from miles away to observe every tear stained cheek to flinch at every drunk ‘I love you’ that slips from his mouth and to watch the sky and count all the stars for everytime we’ve been here before and for all the times, that we’ll be back
