Heartbreaker

If the heart is just an *****

Pumping blood for life

Why when I miss you

Does it cut me like a knife?

How can something functional

Become so emotional?

Turning from the physical

Into the devotional?

How can those ventricals

Seduced by psychology,

Override evolution

Defying biology?

The pain in my chest

Brings tears to my eyes

It appears cardiology

Is dependent on guys.
